267 families served!

​On Thursday, August 6, 2020, we fed 267 people at our first ever large scale Mobile Food Pantry courtesy of the Mid-South Food Bank!!!

Y'all! Can you even imagine how much food we had?! No? Well, let me tell you. There was a produce box (containing a bag of apples, a bag of oranges, sweet potatoes, baking potatoes, and a bag of onions) fresh corn (6 ears), a pork loin, fresh greens (6 bushes), a gallon of milk, tuna (20 cans), orange juice (60 servings), cereal (1 box), noodles (3 bags), and snacks. Multiplied by 267! Just. Wow.

We also gave away diapers courtesy of Sweet Cheeks Diaper Ministry, feminine products courtesy of Sister Supply, and various cleaning supplies left over from our Essential Box giveaway.

Our volunteers were absolutely AMAZING! They were punctual and diligent. They worked tirelessly for 4 hours without a single complaint. To me at least. :) I hope they each return next month.

Oh yes. We will be doing this again so stay tuned!
